A Birthday in Destin – Part 2

Picking up from my previous post — I chose to celebrate my birthday in Destin. On my birthday itself my girls and I went out to enjoy a nice dinner. Since we had the rest of the weekend to enjoy our trip, here’s what we did  the next day.

After waking up from last night, we were hungry and stopped by Dunkin Donuts for some brunch.  After that it was time to hit Destin Common Mall for some retail therapy – my 2nd favorite part!

Destin Common Mall is a great place for shopping and has some of the stores I don’t have the chance to shop in store because of where I live.

The first store we hit  was Forever 21 – one of my top favorite stores. (Yes I know what you’re thinking – why would a 26 year old shop in Forever 21?

But I just love the store and all the clothes they have – I mean it’s called forever 21 for a reason right? *wink, wink*)

I picked up a few Spring items and staples that you will see featured on this blog very soon.  I also got some cool jewelry and this cute blue tooth speaker – how cute is that lime green?

From there we did some more shopping –  Victoria’s Secret, H & M, Lush etc.

I was pretty thirsty by the time we were done and stopped by Starbucks for a refresher.  So quick fun fact about me – I am non-coffee drinker but I love Starbucks for their non-coffee drinks (crazy I know).

I usually get their Passion Tea or Green Tea. But I read this suggestion online to try Passion Tea mixed with Lemonade and ask for it frozen (Yes ignore the crazy stares you’ll get from the Baristas). Believe me you won’t want to drink anything else after this…. It has become my absolute Starbucks favorite.

After retail therapy we headed back to the condo and changed into our clothes so we could get some beach time!

As you can see Destin was all nice and sunny. A nice day to just lay on the beach or play in the water.

The water was actually pretty cold – but I didn’t mind it.

After playing in the water it was nice to just sit on the sand, get sand in my toes and take selfies with my sisters.

After beach time we headed back to the condo to nap and then get ready for our night out in Panama City Beach. Before we headed out I had my official 26th birthday shoot (Yes I go all out and I’m allowed to since it’s my birthday).

The backdrop for the shoot – Number Balloons, Rose Petals, Roses, Birthday Cake

Lights, Camera and Action!

Laying on a bed of rose petals is super fun =)

I really enjoyed by my birthday trip and I hope to do something like this. It also was great to have some of the people who I truly care about to celebrate it right there with me.  Thanks for reading.
