Girl’s Evening Out

There is nothing like spending time with your girls – there is time to bond, catch up, laugh and of course enjoy good food.

This past weekend I had the chance to spend time with 2 of my favorite girls… my young sister and her best friend.

We decided on a dinner and movie kind of night. Our restaurant of choice was Carrabas  – it was my first time eating there and I was not disappointed.

To begin our meal we ordered some drinks – I’m always looking to try different kinds of Sangrias or Margaritas. I ordered the Peach Sangria and it was delicious, I mean I seriously could have gone for another glass.

Because we were saving room for dessert, we skipped the appetizer and went straight to the entree – however, our waitress did bring us some warm bread and oil mixed with herbs to dip in and soup or salad.

I chose spicy chicken soup.

For my main meal, I ordered the Chicken Bryan – which is described as “grilled chicken breast topped with tomatoes, cheese, basil and drizzled with lemon butter sauce”

I chose a side of Penne Pomodoro. It was really delicious – the chicken was nice and tender and flavored well.

Finally, we finished  off our meal with two desserts. We tried the Tiramisu and Sogno Di  Cioccolata/Chocolate Dream.  It was really good….my favorite of the two was the chocolate dream.

After we filled our bellies  we headed to the cinemas to watch the movie Acrimony. I love Tyler Perry movies and the film was okay, but it caused you to think deeply about certain things and what you allow in your life in terms of relationships .  I did enjoy it because Taraji Henson was in it – she always does such a great job at  bringing her characters to life. I may have to write my review on it later.
