Duchess Banana Bread Recipe – Fit Royalty!

I’m not sure you know this but I’m a huge royal fan. I love following different Royal Families around the world and my current favorite happens to be the British Royal Family. My fascination with this family may or may not have begun with the wedding of Kate Middleton to Prince William 😉

As you are aware, Prince Harry and his beautiful wife Meghan Markle were in Australia for their first Royal tour as a couple. Twitter pretty much went a buzz when it was mentioned that Duchess of Sussex baked banana bread  as a gift to a farming family they met while in Dubbo, Australia.  What is even more fascinating is she did so while pregnant and suffering from jet lag (who does that?)

I’m sure a lot of royal fans are dying to get their hands on this royal banana bread recipe- believe me when I say,  I am too.

But while we are waiting for Meghan to share her recipe with us,  I felt inspired to create and bake my own banana bread that I felt would be fit for royalty.

This bread has a kick of ginger & nutmeg and a generous sprinkle of chocolate chips – just like Meghan’s did. I experimented so it would come out nice and moist and I think I was happy with my results.

If you have some free time today and want to get your royal mittens and apron on,  why not join me and make it yourself?
